Holy Cross Primary School, being a Catholic School where Christian faith is shared through the lived experience of prayer, liturgy and worship, strives to:
* share the experience of education as a partnership between school, parish and the local community in a spirit of collaboration.
* provide a loving and secure environment which values each child's individuality and caters for a range of needs.
* utilise appropriate teaching and learning opportunities to develop skills for life - long learning.
* encourage each student to pursue excellence in all fields of school education in accordance with her/his gifts and capabilities.
In 2008, Holy Cross Catholic School celebrated 50 years of Catholic education in the Parish now known as Sugarloaf. The school was founded by the Sisters of Mercy. Inspired by their founder, Catherine McAuley, the Sisters are compelled by God's spirit and their tradition to work, both individually and corporately, to bring about a more just and compassionate world. The spirit of the Sisters of Mercy is still evident in the school's commitment to justice for all people.
We have lots of opportunities to shine. We have lots of groups to be involved in like Mini-Vinnies and choir. It is a loving community and our parent helpers are great.
